Drahthaar vs Wirehair
There is some confusion about a drahthaar and German wirehaired
pointer. Technically they are one and the same. My dogs are AKC
registered as German wirehaired pointers. They are also Field
Dog Studbook registered German drahthaars. My dogs are not VDD
registered. The wirehair was developed in Germany in the late
19th century by combining the griffon, pudelpointer, German shorthaired
pointer and stichelhaar. The goal was to produce a dog that would
work equally well on both land and water, both before and after
the shot.
Reservations
The 2006 pup price is $700/males and $800/females. A $200 deposit is required to reserve a pup. This deposit is not refundable unless I am unable to provide a pup from the agreed upon litter. Receipt of the deposit confirms your place on pup selection. However, the breeder reserves right of first pick as well as right to refuse sale.

Started Dogs
I try to have at least a couple of started dogs being trained at any given time. Typically these dogs will be sold at over a year of age and will be holding point, retrieving to hand, whoa broke and have basic obedience. Price depends on training level and age but typically is $2,500.00.
Selection
Please describe your wants and desires as fully as possible
and include with your reservation. Items such as sex, color,
boldness, coat length as well as your hunting style. I will do
my best to pick the pup to the person in the event you can't
personally choose.
Intensity at eight weeks
Health
Each pup will have been tail docked and dew claws removed.
The pup will have received either one or two sets of vaccinations
depending on time of pick-up. All pups to be shipped will have
a health certificate provided by the breeder.
Delivery
The preferred time of delivery is 8 weeks. We will work together to make arrangements for pick-up at the kennel or airline shipping. You are responsible for all shipping charges including a crate. You are welcome to UPS a crate to me in advance. The pup must be completely paid for prior to leaving the kennel. Registration papers will be forwarded as I receive them.

Guarantee
Each pup is guaranteed for the first 12 months after purchase. The pup is guaranteed to be free of hip dysplasia to 25 months of age. Evidence is required to confirm and must be either PennHIP or OFA. Any medical problems must be accompanied by a medical history from a vet. It is the responsibility of the owner to continue the vaccination series as well as any other medical safeguards prescribed by vet. In order to honor the guarantee the pup must be returned to us. We will replace the pup from the next available litter.
